If you want to hide the files dropped in a directory, create an empty directory (or file) called "_files" in it. Images are still shown (see no photos).
"_files" is usually a directory that holds a defined set of files to list (see selected files only). But, if this directory is empty, or it is no directory but an empty file, ddd will make the list of attachments empty.
